Chief Residents

Chief Residents are near-peer faculty who serve as liaisons between residents, program leadership, and other departments. They support the day-to-day operations of the residency by coordinating schedules, overseeing educational programming, and fostering a positive learning environment. Please contact any of the Chief Residents listed below for concerns related to professionalism, team dynamics, navigating conflict, workflow or time-sensitive rotation issues, or wellness. When possible, contact the chief responsible for the relevant area as outlined below.

Program Leadership

The Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Directors (APDs) are clinical faculty who collaborate with institutional leadership to provide overall direction and oversight of the residency, ensuring it meets educational, clinical, and professional standards while supporting residents’ development. They are available for advising on academic progression and career development. Contact the PD or APDs for concerns about professionalism, conflict, time-sensitive rotation issues, or wellness that cannot be resolved at the chief resident level. When possible, contact the PD/APD responsible for the relevant area as outlined below.

The Senior Program Manager and Program Coordinators provide essential administrative leadership that supports the daily operations and long-term success of the residency, especially related to scheduling, accreditation, evaluations, recruitment, and onboarding. When possible, contact the appropriate staff member responsible for the relevant operational area, though any member of the administrative team can help direct your question.

Subspecialty Education Coordinators manage and support residents’ educational experiences, including inpatient consultative services and ambulatory subspecialty rotations. They also serve as a first point of contact for career advising for residents interested in pursuing a subspecialty.
